Astronomy is the oldest of all the sciences.  The study of the universe is both ancient and new, stretching from the mythology of the Greeks to the robots exploring the surfaces of distant planets.  It encompasses the fields of geology, meteorology, physics and mathematics, in an attempt to define our place in time and space.  Let the journey begin……

SUCCESS IN MY CLASS

 I guarantee that if you follow the suggestions below, you will be successful in my class.
1-Attend class each day (If you’re not here, you can’t learn)
2-Listen to me while I am teaching (I know some pretty cool stuff)
3-Rewrite your class notes each night (It’s a great way to study and will prepare you for your quizzes)
4-Ask for help when you don’t understand something. Either raise your hand while I am teaching, make an appointment for extra help, or contact me via AOL Instant Messenger. (If you don’t ask for help, I can’t help you)
5-A weekly calendar will be posted each weekend on my website.  In the unlikely event that your are absent, it is your responsibility to check the calendar, and take notes on the topic you missed.  Being absent does not excuse you from daily quiz questions.
